Iyengar
yoga is classical yoga, the yoga of Patanjali (2nd c BC) Raja
Yoga, is Hatha Yoga and implies that an ethical discipline is
essential for a spiritual experience.
Iyengar yoga involves precissions practice,
which through the skin's nervous system leads to awarennness,
a kind of meditation through action.
It is traditional yoga experienced by a
person who has attained complete awareness and who has been generous
enough to teach this knowledge based on physiology, anatomy and
subtlety of the perception.
This
teaching is know as Iyengar® yoga, and is based on the
total integration of the person, that is, the mind-body duality
disappears.
